August 03, 2019 | Men's Golf
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Army West Point golf team was recognized for its work in the classroom after receiving an NCAA Public Recognition Award on Thursday.
The award is bestowed on teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all teams in their respective sports based on the APR data released in May 2019.
"We've got an exceptional group of young men and leaders on our team," head coach Chad Bagley said. "They work hard in the classroom and on the golf course in a demanding environment; and I'm happy for them that their efforts are being recognized."
The men's tennis team is one of three squads to receive this recognition for the 2018-19 year. Army's men's tennis and hockey teams were also recognized. The list of all teams receiving the honor may be found on NCAA.org.
