Brattan Garners All-Region Accolades

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Sophomore Jackie Brattan of the Army West Point women's lacrosse team earned IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team honors on Tuesday afternoon.
It marks the first time in program history that a Cadet was recognized by the IWLCA with postseason all-region distinction.
"We are so proud to see continued recognition of Jackie's accomplishments this season," Noto Family Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Kristen Skiera said. "Jackie's skill, intensity and execution on the draw and offensive end has helped propel our program to new heights. The level of maturity and urgency she played with this season as just a sophomore is so impressive. She was consistently one of the most dominant players on the field all season long and warrants recognition as one of the top players in the country. We could not be more proud of Jackie and excited for what lies ahead for her and the team."
Brattan had a historic season for the Black Knights, wreaking havoc on opposing defenses en route to receiving First Team All-Patriot League honors. The sophomore attack led Army, finished second in the league and inside the top-20 nationally in goals scored with 63. Along with her scoring prowess, she capped her second campaign with 65 points and 105 draw controls. Both were single-season program milestones as she was the second Cadet to ever post a 50-point season and the first to eclipse 100 draw controls.
The Garden City, N.Y., native was lethal on the 8-meter and held the nation's top free position percentage (.773). Brattan had 16 multi-goal outings and scored in all 19 games. She recorded 13 hat tricks and scored four or more goals in nine contests.
