Two Cadets Receive Midseason All-America Nods

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Seniors Johnny Surdick and AJ Barretto received Midseason All-America nods from Inside Lacrosse on Friday evening.
Surdick was voted to the first team, while Barretto was named to the Honorable Mention list.
Surdick is a staple for Army's defense which ranks third nationally in goals allowed per game at 8.30. The Odenton, Md., native leads the team with 2.40 caused turnovers per game. After his five last week against Bucknell, he jumped to the seventh slot in the country. Surdick eclipsed 150 career ground balls earlier this season.
Barretto's .605 save percentage is the fourth-best in college lacrosse at the halfway point of his senior campaign. The Darlington, Md., native's goals-against average is tops in the Patriot League and ranks third nationally at 8.27. Barretto is five saves shy from 500 in his career. He currently ranks seventh on the all-time saves list at Army.
Surdick is one of three Patriot League members to make the first team. Barretto joins four others on honorable mention.
