- Giachin and Hurtubise both led the team with two runs each.
- The Cadets turned the day's only double play and it came during Game 2.
How It Happened - Game 1
- The Cadets started the scoring early in the opening half inning when Martin drilled a shot over the left center fence to bring home two runs. His hit also scored Hurtubise, who led off the frame with a walk.
- The Black Knights then pushed across another run in the sixth when John McKenna converted on an RBI-infield bunt single. Giachin and Martin led off the frame with back-to-back singles to place two runners on. During the ensuing at bat Giachin shifted to third thanks to a passed ball. McKenna then dropped down a perfect bunt single to score the sophomore from third to make it a 3-0 ballgame.
- Cam Opp came in to close out the final frame to hand Army its 12th Patriot League win of the year.
How It Happened - Game 2
- The home side took an early 1-0 edge after notching one unearned run on two hits and one error. The Crusaders singled up the middle to kickoff the frame before the Cadets recorded the first two outs of the frame. The Black Knights thought they had the final out of the inning but a fielding error during the ensuing at bat placed runners on the corners. Alex Gionis then singled through the left side to bring home the game's first run.
- Holy Cross tacked on another three runs in the seventh inning to break to game open at 4-0. The Crusaders registered three hits and three walks during the frame to spark that rally.
- Army would not go away though, cutting the lead to 4-3 following three runs on two hits in the eighth. Hurtubise, Josh White and Giachin loaded the bases to start the frame before the Crusaders were forced to make a pitching change. During the next at bat, Army plated its first run thanks to a will pitch. After Holy Cross registered the first two outs of the frame, Adams doubled down the left field line to cut the deficit down to one.
- The Cadets tried to complete the full comeback in the ninth after White and Giachin notched a two-out walk and single, respectively, to gave Army two baserunners. Unfortunately, after another Crusaders pitching change the home side was able to record the final out and hold on for the victory.
