COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Led by rookie Mathew Davis, the Army West Point gymnastics team posted 389.950 points against Air Force's 394.250 on Saturday afternoon.

Davis was the top all-around competitor today with marks of 79.950, his second-best score of the season.   Â

- Davis championed both the floor exercise and the vault.Â
- He turned out a 14.100 on floor and posted marks of 14.000 on vault to tie his career-high.Â
- Cole Casanova was second in the all-around with a 78.950.
- The Black Knights won on floor exercise (67.500 – 67.400), pommel horse (63.500 – 63.150) and vault (68.650 – 67.500).
COMPETITION
- Davis was first on floor with his 14.100 score.Â
- Casanova, Elliott Herman and Mitchell McHugh all tied for fourth at 13.550.Â
- Matthew Martin led the Black Knights on pommel horse for the second straight week after posting a 13.450.Â
- He ranked second, as Brandon Shively followed suit with a 13.250.Â
- On still rings, Casanova turned out the top Cadet score with a 13.700 to place third.
- Davis followed with a 13.500 which was good for fourth.Â
- Davis produced the top marks on vault (14.000) as Casanova (13.850) placed second and Erik Del Cid (13.800) was fifth.Â
- Casanova notched a 13.450 on the parallel bars to rank second in the event.Â
- Davis was third with a 13.400 to tie his career-best score.Â
- Air Force pulled away from Army in the high bar with a five-point advantage.Â
- Davis (12.900) placed third and was followed by Rex Scott (12.350) in sixth.Â
UP NEXT
- The Black Knights return to the Lou Gross Center March 9 for senior day.Â
- Competition will begin at 1 p.m. against Springfield.Â
