Army Blanked by Ohio, 1-0, in Series Finale
March 17, 2019 | Baseball
ATHENS, Ohio - The Army West Point baseball team dropped a 1-0 decision to Ohio here Sunday afternoon in the teams' weekend finale.
That loss halted the Black Knights' four-game winning streak and shifted them to 9-8 heading into their home opener on Tuesday.
It was a pitcher's duel for much of Sunday's contest. Army starter Daniel Burggraaf was unfortunately credited with the loss but he had an impressive eight innings on the mound. The senior righty allowed just four hits, one run, and no walks during his time, while striking out eight.
Jeremiah Adams and Blake Ledoux both finished 2-for-3 with Drake Titus adding Army's only other hit in the game.
