- A 10-2 run to open the second half, that was sparked by a pair of 3-pointers by Fox, gave the Black Knights their first lead of the night, 29-27. However, it turned into a back-and-forth affair as the Crusaders battled back to capture a 34-32 advantage.
- Both sides continued to trade baskets until the Cadets began to cool off and went a five-minute stretch without a make from the field. During that span, the Crusaders went on a 15-2 run and extended their lead to double-digits, 49-37 with 4:55 left to play. After five unanswered Army points, the Black Knights were held scoreless over the final four minutes before ultimately falling, 56-42.
