Black Knights Finish Strong Against William & Mary

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point gymnastics team's .967 hit percentage led the Black Knights to a 398.300 – 391.750 victory over William & Mary on Saturday.
The Cadets hit 29 of their 30 routines today as five individual career-high marks were captured.

- Cole Casanova was the top all-around competitor with an 81.550.
- He championed the vault and parallel bars.
- Casanova's 14.600 on vault was a career-high.
- Matthew Martin tied his career-best score on pommel horse (13.600) in the meet.
- In the final three events, Mathew Davis set new personal standards.
- The rookie produced a 14.000 on vault, 13.400 on parallel bars and a 13.300 on high bar.
- Davis was second in all-around today, turning out a 78.900.
COMPETITION
- Erik Del Cid led the Black Knights on floor exercise and was second in the meet.
- Davis placed third with a 13.450 rating, while Elliott Herman was fourth (13.400).
- Martin's career-high 13.600 on pommel horse was the top score for the Cadets.
- He ranked second overall and was followed by Casnova who posted a 13.050.
- The Cadets' 64.450 was the second-best mark of the year.
- Davis scored the top mark for Army on still rings (13.850).
- Casanova registered marks of 13.650 as Taka Giese notched a 13.500.
- Army recorded a 70.450 on vault which was the best score this season.
- Casanova championed the event with a 14.600, a career-high.
- Del Cid posted a 13.300, while Graham Shaw (14.050) and Davis (14.000) also ranked above 14.
- The Black Knights were led by Casanova on parallel bars (13.550) and Davis (13.400).
- High bar featured Casanova and Davis recording 13.400, 13.300 scores, respectively.
