Halbrook Wins AWPAA Athlete Of The Week

WEST POINT - Fresh off her Women's Track Athlete of the Meet performance at the Patriot League Championships, senior captain Abby Halbrook has been named Army West Point Athletic Association Player of the Week.Â
Halbrook won three events for the Black Knights at Sunday's league championship meet, leading the Black Knights to a second place finish.Â
The Tyler, Texas, native came from behind in the final lap in all three of her wins. She won the women's mile by .04 seconds and the women's 1000m by .03 seconds. She then anchored the women's distance medley relay team to a victory.Â
In addition to winning Women's Track Athlete of the Meet, Halbrook was recognized as the Women's Highest Point Scorer, earning 22.5 points for Army.Â
