LEWISBURG, Pa. – Through one day of competition at the Patriot League Championships, the Army West Point women's swimming and diving team sits in ninth place with 34 points.

The opening day featured the 200 medley relay and the 800 free relay on the women's side.

Navy currently holds the lead with 80 points. Bucknell (64), Lehigh (60), Boston U. (60) and Holy Cross (50) rounded out the top-five, while Colgate (50), American (46) and Lafayette (36) finished just ahead of the Black Knights. Loyola currently sits in 10th with 28 points.

ARMY NOTABLES

The Black Knights opened the meet with a second-place showing in the 200 medley relay. The squad of Cecelia Croman, Kara Wineinger, Whitney Chang and Bailey Smith posted a time of 1:41.12.
Army later swam the fourth-fastest time in the 800 free relay. However, an early takeoff during one of the legs caused the Cadets to be disqualified from the event.

The Cadets return to action tomorrow morning with the preliminary heats set to start at 10 a.m. and the finals slated for 6 p.m.
