Kozlowski, Firriolo Headline Atlantic Hockey Weekly Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Trevin Kozlowski and Anthony Firriolo of the Army West Point hockey team highlighted the Atlantic Hockey Association weekly awards, announced by the league on Tuesday.Â
Kozlowski was voted the Goalie of the Week, while Firriolo was tabbed the Rookie of the Week for the second straight week.Â
Kozlowski earned his first-career shutout in Saturday's 4-0 victory thanks to his 25 saves. The junior netminder allowed just one score in the series at Robert Morris which was a power play goal. Kozlowski boasted a 0.48 goals against average and a .983 save percentage. He also tied a career-high with 35 saves in the shootout victory over the Colonials on Sunday. Kozlowski, who hails from Los Angeles, Calif., made the first save in the shootout to set Army up for the victory.Â
This season, Kozlowski's 1.98 goals against average ranks him 12th in college hockey along with his .694 winning percentage. Army boasts the fourth-best penalty kill unit nationally with a .915 efficiency.Â
Firriolo topped last weekend's performance with another career weekend. He assisted on the first three goals of Army's shutout on Saturday for a career-high. He was the primary assist on the first two scores of the contest including two on the power play.Â
The Montville, N.J., native ranks eighth in Atlantic Hockey for rookie scoring and is the top freshman defender in the league in scoring.Â
With the five points last weekend, Army jumped to the top of the AHA standings with 32 points. The Black Knights are 12-5-1 overall and 10-5-1 in conference play and are getting national recognition with votes in the last three USCHO.com Coaches Polls.Â
