Black Knights Drop League Tilt at American

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Army West Point men's soccer team fell, 2-0, to American on the road on Saturday afternoon in a Patriot League contest.
The Black Knights (4-7-4, 1-4-3 Patriot League) were outshot by the Eagles (3-10-2, 3-4-1 Patriot League), 10-8, but held the 5-2 edge in corners. Keenan O'Shea led Army in shots taken with three. The senior placed two of them on goal.
Jacob Suppiah got the starting nod in goal and he sent away three shots.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following a scoreless first half, the Eagles needed just under five minutes of the second stanza to get on the board. A ball was played into the air just past midfield by the Eagles before Zac McGraw got a head on it. The ball ended up with American and Nick Dimitrijevic sprinted down the field before placing it to the left side of the net for the goal.
- In the 61st minute, Army committed a foul inside the box on an attacking player for the Eagles resulting in a penalty kick being awarded to American. Fabio Massaro lined a shot to the left and into the net to give American a 2-0 advantage.
