Zhang Named League's Male Swimmer of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sophomore Evan Zhang of the Army West Point men's swimming & diving team was named the Patriot League's Male Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Zhang was one of the Black Knights' top individual performers in a home dual opposite Columbia on Friday night at Crandall Pool. The Flushing, N.Y., native was victorious in the 100 breast and 200 breast, marking the third consecutive meet that he won both events.
In the 100 breast, his time of 54.90 was a season-best finish. In the 200 breast, Zhang posted another season-high after he touched the wall at 2:00.26. He additionally swam the second leg of the second-place 200 medley relay squad that finished at 1:30.81.
Zhang and the Black Knights will return to action on Dec. 12 when they take on Navy in Annapolis, Md. The meet is scheduled for 5 p.m.
