Army Concludes Fall Season at Hoakalei Invitational

FINAL RESULTS

EWA BEACH, Hawai'i – The Army West Point golf team wrapped up its fall portion of the schedule with a 17th-place finish at the Hoakalei Invitational with the final round concluding on Wednesday.

The Black Knights finished with a team score of 884 (+20) during the three-day tournament. East Tennessee State won the title with a team score of 835 (-29) and won by nine strokes. Shiso Go of East Tennessee State earned the individual championship with a 14-under tournament thanks to a pair of 66s in the first and last round.

TOURNAMENT NOTES

Gunnar Doyle came back from a tough round of 76 on Tuesday and rebounded with a 2-under 70 on Wednesday.
Doyle finished in a tie for 31st with an even-par score of 216 for the tournament.
He ended up with 10 birdies during the three-day competition.
Dragon Theam ended his three days in Hawai'i with an even-par round of 70 on Wednesday and finished 50th at 2-over for the tournament.
Theam shot 1-under on the final two days with rounds of 71 and 72 after opening with a 3-over 75.
Justin Williamson was Army's third player to have an under-par round during the week as he shot a 1-under 71 in the final round to finish tied with Theam for 50th.
Williamson had five birdies in his final 18 holes with four coming on the back nine.

The Black Knights return to the course in late February for the Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico.
