Postgame Notes: Army vs. San Jose State

TEAM

Army won the toss and elected to defer.
Game captains Cole Christiansen, Kelvin Hopkins Jr. and Elijah Riley were joined at the coin toss by Donavan Lynch, Jake Baumert, and Scott Flanick.
The Black Knights honored the 4^thInfantry with their insignia on the back of their helmets.

OFFENSE

Army finished with 326 yards on the ground, marking the third time this season the Black Knights have gone over 300 rushing yards.
West Point's 429 yards of total offense (326 rushing, 103 passing) was the second most this season and the most against an FBS opponent.
Junior quarterback Christian Anderson tallied the first two rushing touchdowns of his career.
Anderson finished with 87 yards on 16 attempts (5.4 average) to go along with the two scores. The touchdowns came from 33 yards and one yard out.
Kelvin Hopkins Jr.'s first quarter TD pass was his fourth this season and the 11th of his career.
Junior wide receiver Cam Harrison's 31-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter was his second this season and the third of his career.
Harrison finished with four receptions for 54 yards and the score. He now has 15 grabs over the last four games.
Junior fullback Sandon McCoy scored on a four-yard rushing TD, his fifth score of the season (tied for the team lead).
Sophomore quarterback Jabari Laws tallied 51 yards on the ground on eight carries (6.4 average).

DEFENSE

Senior defensive back Elijah Riley recorded a career-high three pass breakups.
Junior defensive back Javhari Bourdeau finished with a career-best six tackles (all solo) to go along with a PBU.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Freshman kicker Cole Talley connected on a 41-yard field goal, the first make of his career.
