WEST POINT, N.Y. -Â The Black Knights return to Michie Stadium this Saturday at noon to take on the San Jose State Spartans.Â
The contest will air live on CBS Sports Network with Ben Holden, Ross Tucker and Tina Cervasio on the call. The game can also be heard on the Army Sports Network through the TuneIn app or goarmywestpoint.com.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Black Knights return to Michie Stadium on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET for a matchup with San Jose State.
• Army begins a stretch of three of its next four games at Michie Stadium. Following a road trip to Air Force on Nov. 2, West Point returns home for games against UMass (Nov. 9) and VMI (Nov. 16).
• Dating back to the start of the 2016 season, Army is 17-3 in games played at Michie Stadium.

THE OPENING KICKOFF
• Army is tied for 22nd in the county in takeaways and is tied for the sixth with nine fumble recoveries.Â
• On top of the takeaways, West Point is 26th nationally in passing defense (186.6), 37th in total defense (345.7), 38th in red zone defense (.789) and 38th in scoring (21.7).
• Senior linebacker Cole Christiansen, one of two captains on defense, is tied for sixth nationally in solo tackles (45) and is tied for 11th in total stops (70).
 • He additionally is tied for 21st in the nation in forced fumbles. He recovered his first career fumble on a goaline stand at Georgia State.Â
• Christiansen is 45th nationally among active players in career tackles (233) and solo tackles (145).Â
• Senior defensive back Elijah Riley has had a hand in four takeaways this season (three forced fumbles and an interception). His three forced fumbles are tied for fifth nationally.
• He was named one of 14 semifinalists for the 2019 Paycom Jim Thorpe Award. The award is given to a defensive back and is based on performance on the field, athletic ability and character.
• Army's offense is first in the country in TFLs allowed per game (2.8), third in yards per completion (17.8), ninth in rushing (254.6), 12th in fourth down conversions (.773), 34th in time of possession (31:30) and 42nd in red zone offense (.880). Â
• Senior quarterback and captain Kelvin Hopkins Jr. paces the offense with five rushing scores this season. He is tied for 27th among active players with 22 career rushing scores.
• Junior fullback Sandon McCoy tallied his first career multi-TD game at Georgia State, scoring from two yards out in the first quarter and eight yards out in the second quarter. He finished with 71 yards on 19 carries.
• Senior fullback Connor Slomka finished with 89 yards on 10 carries against the Panthers, breaking off runs of 38 and 32 yards.Â
ARMY-SAN JOSE STATE HISTORYÂ
• This will be the second all-time meeting between San Jose State and Army.Â
• West Point earned a decisive 52-3 victory last season on Oct. 13 at CEFCU Stadium.
• The Black Knights have played 24 games against teams from California. This will be the 66th time Army faces off against a program that is currently in the Mountain West Conference.Â
