BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Army West Point golf team is currently in fourth after the opening round of the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club.

The Black Knights had a first round team score of 303 (+15) and did lead the tournament for a portion of the day. Rider is in the top spot at 298 (+10). Holy Cross' Harrison Thayer leads the way on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 3-under par 69 on the first day.

The Black Knights are back on the course tomorrow morning with tee times starting at 10 a.m.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Justin Williamson is currently in a tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard after a 2-over par 74 on day one.
- Williamson was even par through the first 11 holes and finished with three birdies during his round.
- Tom Katsenes finished the first round 3-over par after shooting a 75 and is in a tie for eighth on the leaderboard.
- Katsenes had an up-and-down round, but had five birdies.
- Gunnar Doyle ended up in a tie for 12th after the first 18 and carded a 76.
The Black Knights are back on the course tomorrow morning with tee times starting at 10 a.m.
