WEST POINT, N.Y. – The entire Army West Point offensive line was selected to the Sports Illustrated's All-Bowl Team after the Black Knights' victory over Houston in the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.
Led by senior center Bryce Holland, the Cadets' offensive line blocked for an Army attack that compiled 592 total yards on 62 offensive plays. Houston was only able to register 320 yards on 73 plays during the bowl.
The interior line did a lot of damage in the ground attack with 10 different ball handlers combining to run 58 times. The Black Knights ran for 507 yards (on 8.7 yards a carry) in capping off the program's first 11-win campaign. Also, when they decided to throw the ball, that went well too, completing all four pass attempts for 85 yards.
Army's 70 points racked up in the game were the most in the 16-year history of the Armed Forces Bowl. The Black Knights also registered 42 points in the first half, which marked the first time since 2011 the Cadets have achieved that feat.
