Barnhorst Captures Rookie of the Week Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – After being named to the Army Invitational All-Tournament Team, Emmy Barnhorst captured Rookie of the Week honors by the Patriot League.

Barnhorst was named to the Army Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 2.57 kills per set and hitting .317.

As the most aggressive player at the net this past weekend, the freshman middle blocker tabbed 3.29 points per set.

She led the Black Knights with 1.36 blocks per sets with three solo blocks and 16 block assists.

The Winfield, Ill., native tallied double-digit kills in all three matches included a career-high 15 kills and a .405 hitting percentage against San Francisco.

Army returns home next weekend for the Black Knights Invitational. The Cadets will face Albany on Friday and Southeastern Louisiana and Hofstra on Saturday.
