Volleyball Slated Fourth in Preseason Poll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – With the 2018 season under 10 days away, the Army West Point volleyball team was voted fourth in the Patriot League Preseason Poll announced by the league on Wednesday.

Head Coaches and Athletic Communications Directors from each institution voted in the poll and could not vote for their respective institutions.

American was picked first in the poll receiving 16 first-place votes to total 118 points. Following was Lehigh at 103 with the other two first-place votes, Navy (100) and Army (86). Colgate rounded out the top-five with 82 points as Bucknell (59), Loyola (37), Holy Cross (30) and Lafayette (23) completed the poll.

The Black Knights begin the 2018 season with back-to-back home tournaments. The first will be the Army Invitational on Friday, Aug. 24, at 7 p.m. with a game against Quinnipiac.
