WEST POINT, N.Y. – The 2-seeded Army West Point women's tennis team advanced to the Patriot League Championship with a thrilling 4-3 victory over 3-seeded Boston University on Saturday afternoon at the Malek Tennis Center.

The Black Knights improved to 20-6 on the season, while the Terriers ended their season at 9-13.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES

Army will compete in the Patriot League championship match for the 20th time, owning 13 titles.
The Black Knights earned their first-ever postseason win over Boston.
This is the first time Army has defeated the Terriers twice in the same season.
The Cadets posted their 11th 20-win season and 10th in the last 11 years.
Danna Funaro clinched the victory in the sixth singles flight.
The Fairfield, Conn., native leads the Black Knights with a 4-0 record in the tournament, going 2-0 in both facets.
Melanie Allen documented her 40th career singles victory.
