Army Treks to Holy Cross for Midweek Tilt

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's lacrosse team continues Patriot League play with a midweek test at Holy Cross on Wednesday. The opening draw is slated for 6 p.m.

ARMY (7-3, 1-1 Patriot League)
• The Black Knights enter the game having won five of their last six, most recently a 17-8 win over American on Saturday for their first-ever home victory over a Patriot League opponent.
• Senior attacker Rachel Hornick leads the team with 36 points and is tied for the most goals (19) with Manuela Cortes and assists (17) with Maddie Miller.
• Six Cadets have double-digit goals on the season: Hornick (19), Cortes (19), Amy Johnston (18), Jackie Brattan (17), Samantha Stewart (15) and Miller (12).
• Rookie defender Lauren Bredenburg leads the team in caused turnovers (13) and ground balls (22).
• Army has won the second-most draw controls in the league with 159, behind only Navy who has 163.
• In net, sophomore goalie Maddie Burns owns a 9.82 goals-against average and a .403 save percentage.
HOLY CROSS (3-7, 1-1 Patriot League)
• The Crusaders are coming off a hard-fought 9-8 setback at Colgate on Saturday.
• Keely Connors leads the team with 21 points and 20 goals.
• Baker Earl and Kerianne Moran have also scored double-digit goals on the season with 16 and 14, respectively.
• Maggie Moriarty has dished out a team-high seven assists.
• Audrey Mandaro and Emma Gill have been one of the best defensive tandems in the Patriot League, sporting the two highest caused turnover per game rates at 1.9 and 1.6, respectively.
• In the crease, Julia Maloney sports a 12.00 goals-against average and a .402 save percentage, having made 70 stops.
