Cadets Host Pride and Tribe for Senior Day Sendoff

WEST POINT, N.Y. – For the final time of 2018, the Army West Point gymnastics team will compete at the Lou Gross Center. The Black Knights will host Springfield and William & Mary Saturday for senior day.

- The Black Knights will honor its five seniors prior to the meet.
- Army captured a season-best 399.550 team mark at the All-Academy Championships.
- The score ranks second on Army's top performance list.
- Nick McAfee won on the parallel bars with a 13.300.
- Nathan Goff tied for first on high bar after turning in a season-high 14.100.
- Cole Casanova excelled in the All-Around with a first-place and career-high 80.050 score.
- The Black Knights produced season-high marks on floor exercise (67.750), pommel horse (66.800), still rings (66.350) and vault (69.800).
- Army's 69.800 on vault was a program record.
COMPETITION
- The Black Knights will finish out its season with three regular season competitions.
- Army will host Springfield and William & Mary and then travels to each school separately for head-to-head competitions.
- The Pride are 2-2 this season with wins against UIC and Temple.
- Springfield's season-high score is 391.050 which came on Feb. 4 against William & Mary.
- The Tribe have competed against mostly league teams this season with a season-high 398.200 while facing Springfield.
- Army currently ranks 11th in the country, while William & Mary is slated 14th and Springfield 15th.
- The Black Knights have higher score averages in all apparatuses besides with parallel bars which is Springfield's premier event.
