December 04, 2018 | Women's Swimming and Diving
CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After sweeping service-academy rival Navy on both boards in the annual Star Meet this past Saturday, junior Serica Hallstead claimed Patriot League Female Diver of the Week honors on top of being named the Army West Point Athletic Association Athlete of the Week.
Hallstead's successful day against the Midshipmen started with a first-place finish on the 3-meter board after she totaled a season-best score of 289.88.
The Canandaigua, N.Y., native went on to hit another season-high mark once she posted a score of 273.30 on the 1-meter. Her victories on both boards marked the second consecutive meet that she had top marks on the 1-meter and 3-meter as she was coming off a pair of first-place finishes at last month's Terrier Invitational.
Hallstead and the Black Knights will return to action on Jan. 11 when they take on Lehigh in a Patriot League dual slated for 3 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
