WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army women's rugby team is moving on to the final four of the NIRA Championships, after a masterful 61-3 victory over Norwich at the Anderson Rugby Complex.

"The program is on the right track," head coach Bill LeClerc said. "A lot of it is due to the people we're getting here and the group of girls working hard."

After their last two contents were canceled, the Black Knights (4-4, 3-2) were salivating to get back on the pitch. Army scored early and often versus Norwich (5-4), led by two tries apiece from Sam Sullivan and Kaitlyn Schwarting.

The four NIRA quarterfinal winners will now move on to semi-final play, Nov. 16. The championship game will be played on Nov. 18. All games will be in Hanover, N.H.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES

Army moves on to the semifinals of the NIRA Championships for the second time since NIRA's inception in 2016.
The 61 points are the second most scored by the Black Knights this season.
Sam Sullivan's two tries extends her team leading try total (10) and total points (50) lead.
Schwarting's two tries gives her four on the year to move into second on the team.
Army moves to 5-2 all-time versus Norwich in varsity 15s play.
