Army's 15s Season Ends in NIRA Semifinals

HANOVER, N.H. - The Army West Point women's rugby team fell to Dartmouth 26-7 Friday afternoon at Scully-Fahey Field in the semifinals of the NIRA Championships.
The Black Knights (4-5, 2-2) played a gritty first half that saw the Cadets take a 7-5 lead at the break after a penalty try put Army ahead midway through the first 40 minutes.
No. 1 seeded Dartmouth (9-1) came out strong in the second half with an early try in the 44th minute to retake the lead at 12-7. The Black Knights were pressed defensively throughout the remainder of the game with the Big Green scoring twice more, and also close on a couple other attempts.
Dartmouth will now face the winner of Harvard and Qunnipiac on Sunday in the championship game.

- Army concludes its fall 15s campaign.
- The Black Knights move to 1-3 all-time versus Dartmouth in varsity 15s play.
- Junior Sam Sullivan finished the fall as the team leader in tries (10) and total points (50).
