WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point golf team returned to the links on Monday at the Jerry Pate Invitational at the University of Alabama.Â
The Black Knights finished the first two rounds of the tournament with a team score of 603 (+43), which put them in 12th place after day one. Army made up five shots in the second round of the day to shoot 299 (+19)Â as a team after carding a 304 (+24) in the opening round.Â

- Justin Williamson was Army's top golfer during the first two rounds and currently is 3-over par and is tied for 21st place in the battle for the individual title.Â
- Williamson carded a 74 (+4) in the opening round, but fired back with a 1-under par 69 after his second time around the course.Â
- Tom Katsenes finished his first two rounds with back-to-back scores of 75 (+10) to enter the second day of competition as second among Army's golfers.Â
- Arkansas' Julian Perico leads the individual leaderboard after firing an 11-under score of 129 through two rounds. He opened the tournament with a 6-under 64, which was the lowest number of the day.Â
The Jerry Pate Intercollegiate Tournament at Vestavia Hills, Ala., continues tomorrow with the final round.Â
