HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST SET (American 25, Army 21)
- The Eagles held a one kill advantage over the Black Knights in the first set (15-14).
- However the team's hitting percentage was .324 compared to Army's .116.
- Courtney Horace produced five kills, while Allie Strong had four in the set.
SECOND SET (American 25, Army 18)
- Army and American tied the twice in the second and also had two lead changes.
- Despite the score it was an extremely tight set.
- The Black Knights and Eagles both had 13 kills and nearly identical hitting percentages.
- However, errors on the serve allowed American to pull away.
THIRD SET (American 26, Army 24)
- The Black Knights maintained momentum in the third set with 20 points compared to the opponent's 17.
- It was again errors that hurt the Cadets, but they were able to force the set to go into extra points.
- Strong, Horace and Sydney Morriss each produced four kills in the third, while Nikki Lum notched nine assists.
ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES
- Horace and Strong both contributed 10 kills on the night.
- Nikki Lum boasted 21 assists and a service ace, while Hannah Presley tallied 14.
- Morriss added eight kills in the game and hit .300.
- Ana Oglivie led the team with 13 digs and added a service ace.
- Emmy Barnhorst and Monica Eckford recorded a solo block apiece in the action.

- The Black Knights will host Bucknell at Gillis Field House on Sunday at 2 p.m. for their annual Dig Pink game.
