Morriss Slated Patriot League Athlete of the Week

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Following an outstanding weekend performance, Sydney Morriss of the Army West Point volleyball team was slated the Patriot League Athlete of the Week on Monday.

Morriss captured the honors following back-to-back double-digit kill matches and a .423 hitting percentage on the weekend.

The junior tallied 16 kills against Lehigh in the five-set thriller and hit .364. On Saturday, Morriss posted 10 kills and had zero errors to lead the Black Knights with a season-high .526 hitting percentage.

Morriss, a native of San Antonio, Texas, boasted a 3.25 kills per set average for the weekend.

The Black Knights travel to Loyola and Navy next weekend. Both matches are slated for 7 p.m.
