Army Drops Decision to Penn on Criteria

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point wrestling team dropped a hard-fought dual against Penn, 19-18, on criteria Sunday afternoon at Gillis Field House.

The Quakers, who improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA), picked up the win on criteria C (total match points), 39-38. The Black Knights fall to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference duals.

ARMY HIGHLIGHTS AND GAME NOTES

Noah Stewart picked up his first-career win over a ranked opponent, earning the decision over No. 16 Joe Heyob.
With the decision, Stewart now has a team-high 13 wins on the year.
Ben Harvey evened his career dual record at 8-8 with a 3-0 decision over Khamari Whimper.
The victory was Harvey's 10th of the season.
Rookie Lane Peters and Austin Harry picked up their 12th wins of the season.
Will Lucie and Nigel Ruiz made their collegiate dual debuts against the Quakers.
