Black Knights Fall at Colorado College

Colorado Springs, Colo. – The Army West Point women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Colorado College to close out their road trip on Sunday.
The Black Knights fell to 2-4-1 on the year, while the Tigers improved to 3-3-0.
After defeating Air Force two days ago, the Black Knights were facing an early 1-0 deficit in the seventh minute. Lauren Milliet chipped the ball over the Army back line where Clara Richter flipped the ball over a charging Sydney Cassalia.
Prior to the score, Cassalia made a beautiful diving stop to her right in the sixth minute against the Tigers.
Colorado College nearly increased its lead in the 27th minute when Catie McDonald rang her shot off the crossbar. The Tigers capitalized at the 43:20 mark when a cross from the left made its way past a diving Army keeper and was tapped in by Rae Conlon.
Army's best chance of the match came in the 68th minute when Simone Gardner fired a shot from 20 yards out that forced the Tigers' goalie to elevate and tip the ball over the bar.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers opened the scoring at the 6:57 mark after they chipped the ball forward and touched it over a charging Cassalia to take an early 1-0 edge.
- Colorado College added to its lead with 1:40 remaining in the opening frame when a cross came in from the left and found its way past the diving Army goalkeeper and was tapped into the net.
