#12/14 Army Faces Loyola in Title Game Today

The faceoff will be live on the radio in the Hudson Valley on 1260 WBNR and 1420 WLNA as well. The winner of the game earns the Patriot League title and the automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament.

THE OPENING FACEOFF
• Army and Loyola meet in a rematch of last year's Patriot League championship game that the Greyhounds won 14-6.
• The Black Knights scored a 10-7 win over Boston University on Friday night to advance to the title game.
• Sunday's game will the first time since the league went to six teams in the tournament that the top two seeds play in the title game.
• Army made it three straight wins in the Patriot League Semifinals and it was the Black Knights first postseason win over Boston University.
• Army looks to become only the second time in team history to reach 12 wins in a season and for the first time under Joe Alberici. The 1993 team under Jack Emmer was the last team to do it.
• The Greyhounds cruised to a semifinal win over Holy Cross with a 13-3 victory.
• Loyola got off to a slow start but opened it up in the second half to earn the win.
• Pat Spencer continued his dominance with seven points on a goal and seven assists, while Alex McGovern and Zack Sirico were on the other end most of the evening with three goals each.
• Goalie Jacob Stover did his part in net with 12 saves in the cage.
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
• Army is 9-11 in Patriot League Tournament games since the playoff format was established in 2004.
• Having qualified for 13-straight Patriot League Tournaments, the Black Knights own the league's longest active streak for playoff appearances.
• The Black Knights are making their fifth Patriot League Championship appearance under head coach Joe Alberici.
• This is the first time the Black Knights will be getting a rematch in the title game in program history.
