Hovren Named First Team All-Met

NEW YORK - Forward Madison Hovren earned another postseason award following a great sophomore campaign as she was named to the All-Met Division I First Team by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association on Wednesday night.
Hovren Hovren led the Patriot League in scoring and rebounding and had 16 double-doubles. She averaged 18.4 points per game and 10.2 boards per contest in 31 games. She had a season best 35 points against Lafayette on Jan. 5 and pulled down a career high 22 rebounds against Colgate on Jan. 11, which tied a program record. She was named Patriot League Player of the Week six times and earned MWBA weekly honors three times.
This was Hovren's second postseason honor of the year after earning All-Patriot League First Team honors following the regular season.
