WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point baseball team jumped in front early and never looked back in an 8-3 triumph over the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) here Wednesday.
The Black Knights continued their trend of strong play in the second inning of games with four runs in Wednesday's outing. On the season, the Cadets have outscored opponents 35-12 in the second frame.
The Bears tallied one run back in the third but four additional runs for Army over the next four innings made it an 8-1 ballgame.
