- 2017 Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week on April 4
2017: Was fourth on the team in appearances with 17, making three starts as a freshman … Posted a 5.04 ERA to go along with his 2-1 overall record … Led the team in save opportunities with four … Allowed 39 hits, 28 runs (25 earned) and 28 walks in 44.2 innings pitched (fourth on team) … Did manage to strike out 42 batters, which was third on the team … Issued five wild pitches and hit 12 batters during his time on the hill … Made six appearances in Patriot League play, earning one start … Registered a 5.02 ERA, a record of 1-0 and two saves during that time … Gave up eight hits, nine runs (eight of which were earned) and 10 walks during 14.1 innings of work … Opponents batted just .170 against the rookie in conference action … Pitched a season-high five innings on two different occasions against Georgia State and Bucknell … Against the Panthers, allowed just two hits and one earned run, while fanning four … In the contest with the Bison, gave up five hits and seven runs, six earned, while striking out three … Posted a season-high five strikeouts in a victory over Holy Cross on April 16 … Did not concede any runs in his last four appearances of the year (10.2 innings) and struck out 11 during that time … Posted at least three or more strikeouts in eight of his 17 appearances … Throughout his 44.2 innings pitched, went 17 total innings without allowing a run and 8.2 innings without conceding a hit … Recorded saves against High Point, Lafayette, Manhattan, and Holy Cross … Notched a win against Tulane and Lafayette with his lone loss coming at the hands of Presbyterian … Named the Corvias Patriot League Rookie of the Week on April 4 after posting a win and a save in a weekend series at Lafayette.
