Einck Collects Weekly Patriot League Honors

WEST POINT, N.Y. – A member of the Army West Point women's tennis team has been named the Corvias Female Tennis Player of the Week for a second week in a row as Kirby Einck collected the honor Tuesday.
Last week, Melanie Allen was recognized for her efforts that led Army to a 4-2 victory in the Star Match against service-academy rival Navy.
Einck went 1-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles on the week, including a No. 2 singles victory that clinched the Black Knights' first-ever win over Boston University. The decision over the Terriers secured Army's 13th regular season Patriot League title in program history and first since 2013.
The Geneva, Ill., native leads the Black Knights on the season with 19 singles victory, 10 coming in duals. In doubles, she is tied with co-captain Allyson Hayley for the most wins at 19. The duo of Einck and Gloria Son has been the most consistent for the Cadets, posting 11 wins.
The Black Knights head to Bucknell for their final regular season match on Saturday at 11 a.m.
