Women’s Tennis’ Brilliant, Smith Win Patriot League ITA Masters Qualifier

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point Women's Tennis' Isabella Brilliant and Madison Smith won the Patriot League ITA Masters Qualifier Doubles Championship, defeating Lehigh's Maggie Forkner and Lena Dogadalski in Sunday's final, 8-3.
The pair notched a pair of wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals Saturday to advance to the championship, including an 8-3 win over Navy's Nicole Fu and Olivia Fermo.
The weekend event—sanctioned by the ITA—acts as the Patriot League's individual championships. Brilliant and Smith now advance to the ITA Conference Masters Championships in San Diego November 6-9.
When playing together this season, Brilliant and Smith are now 13-1 in doubles.
In singles, Vennmukiil Mathivanan and Emmy Sy represented the Black Knights, with Mathivanan logging a win over Navy's Emma Gu in the singles quarterfinals.
