COACHES CORNER:
"We really got lucky with the weather this weekend and our women took advantage of the great conditions. The majority of our people had personal best or season best marks here this weekend. On the track last night we had some young women make some serious challenges to our school records and put up some marks that will be near the top of the patriot league lists going into next weekend. We chose to compete here because of the great competitive fields in most of the events, but in particular because of the distance competition on the track. Halbrook ran a very smart 1500 against a very competitive field and put up a time that will sit as one of the best in the East region. She has a really good sense of how to move up in a race to position herself to win. Although she did not win, she demonstrated the skills that will eventually lead her to some wins against high caliber competition. She followed up with a strong 800-meter lifetime best today and won her heat with a great finish. Bethany Nunnery ran a lifetime best in the 5000-meter and showed the kind of competitive grit that has come to define her performances. She is a great competitor and has become very consistent, which is unusual for such a young athlete."
"Coletti came within a half second of getting our school record in the steeplechase and has more in her. She was conservative early and that allowed her to move up well and finish strong. I also thought out 4x100 was very good today. Briyah Brown had a nice series in the shot put. She is putting together some nice throws and continues to be one of our most valuable performers. Mooradian had a great run in the 400-meter hurdles. As she started to get a better feel for the rhythm of the race she will continue to lower her time and will be a factor at the championship meet coming up."
UP NEXT: The Cadets will participate in the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton on April 21-22.
