DAY 1 RESULTS
LEWISBURG, Pa. - After day one of the 2017 Patriot League Championships at Bucknell, the Army West Point men's swimming and diving team leads the field with 80 points.
The Black Knights swept both relays to gain first place after day one of competition and set a new academy record in the 800-yard freestyle relay. The race came down to the final 50 yards and the Black Knights were able to edge out the Mids in an exciting race.
Bucknell sits in second with 66 points, followed by Boston University with 60 points.
"Very solid first day," head coach Mickey Wender said. "Great to come up with two relay wins. Especially proud of our performance in the 800, which is my personal favorite event and we were able to set a new academy record by almost two seconds. We still have a lot of fast swimming ahead of us."
