Army Faces Road Test at Marquette on Sunday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's basketball team will take on the reigning Big East Tournament champions, Marquette, on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET at the Al McGuire Center.

GAMEDAY STORYLINES
• Army will attempt to bounce back after dropping a home tilt to Delaware on Wednesday night.
• Saturday' game marks the first meeting between the Black Knights and the Golden Eagles.
• After reeling in 11 boards against Delaware, junior Madison Hovren moved to 25th all-time in career rebounds at the academy.
• Marquette is the first Big East opponent that Army has played in the regular season since Seton Hall in the 2011-12 campaign.

• The Black Knights have outscored its previous six opponents in the fourth quarter. During that stretch, Army has posted 115 fourth-quarter points compared to the opponent's 68, while connecting on 45 percent of its shots.
• Army has done most of its damage from inside the painted area over the past three games. The Black Knights have scored 57 percent of their points from down low over that span.
• Janae McNeal's nine assists against Delaware put her at 200 for her career. She needs just 39 more assists this season to break into the top-10 all-time at the academy.
• Hovren is tied for third in double-doubles behind Megan Gustafson of Iowa and Natalie Butler of George Mason, who both have nine.

• The Golden Eagles return 10 student-athletes from last year's team and the group has already recorded wins over Loyola Maryland, Montana, Loyola Chicago and Wisconsin, while also just being edged by two points in overtime against Tennessee in Cancun, Mexico.
• Marquette has won nine straight at the Al McGuire Center dating back to last season.
• The Golden Eagles roster features five student-athletes who are averaging double-digit scoring, including Allazia Blockton, who is pacing the squad at 17.6 points per game at nearly a 50-percent clip from the field. Natisha Hiedeman (14.6 ppg), Danielle King (12.8 ppg), Erika Davenport (11.1) and Amani Wilborn (10.6 ppg) are all also in double-figures.
