Game Notes: Army Hosts Duke on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Black Knights are honoring their seniors on Saturday and looking to go undefeated at home this season as Duke comes to West Point.
The contest will air live on CBS Sports Network; the game can also be heard on the Army Sports Network through the TuneIn app or goarmywestpoint.com. The game is sold out.

THE OPENING KICKOFF
• Army's five-game winning streak is the longest for the Black Knights since 1996.
• Dating back to last season, Army is 10-2 in its last 13 games; since the beginning of 2016, it has won 15 of its last 22 contests.
• Army was dominate at Air Force, halting the Falcons' 306-game scoring streak, which was the third longest active streak in FBS college football.
• The Black Knights shut out the Falcons for the first time and the last time Air Force was blanked on its home turf was 1980.
• The last team to go undefeated at Michie Stadium was the 1996 squad and Army is looking to be the sixth team since 1960 to win every game at home.
• The Black Knights are headed to back-to-back bowls for the first time since the 1984 and 1985 seasons when they went to the Cherry and Peach Bowls under head coach Jim Young.
• Duke comes to West Point on a five-game slide after starting the year 4-0. The Blue Devils are 4-1 in the last five meetings and won 44-3 in the last contest at West Point.
ARMY-DUKE SERIES HISTORY
• This will be the 25th all-time meeting between Duke and Army.
• The series belongs to the Blue Devils at 13-10-1 with Duke winning four of the last five matchups.
• The series started back in 1944 and the first four games were played at the Polo Grounds in New York City.
• Duke owns a 7-3-1 advantage over the Black Knights at West Point and Army is looking for its first win over the Blue Devils at Michie Stadium for the first time since 1996.
ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
• Duke blasted out of the gates this season, winning its first four games, but has dropped five in a row since.
• The Blue Devils had impressive wins over Northwestern, Baylor and North Carolina, but has lost every conference game since, including a 24-3 loss to Virginia Tech.
• During the losing streak, Duke has scored over 17 points only once after putting up 27 or more in the first four games of the season.
• Quarterback Daniel Jones leads the air attack for Duke with 1,752 passing yards and also has 282 yards on the ground to go along with a total of 11 touchdowns.
• Running back Shaun Wilson is the leading rusher with 586 yards and five scores.
• T.J. Rahming has 579 receiving yards and a 12.3 average per reception this season.
• The defense is Duke's strong point, allowing only 20 points per game and 340 yards of total offense per contest.
• The Blue Devils have 12 interceptions on the year and Mark Gilbert has four of them to lead the team.
BOWL ELIGIBLE
• The Black Knights have earned a bid into the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl after the victory against Temple.
• Army is playing in back-to-back bowl games for the first time since the 1984 and 1985 seasons.
• The Black Knights are the first team in FBS to accept a bowl bid in 2017.
• This is the second trip to the Armed Forces Bowl for the Black Knights as they defeated SMU back in 2010.

• With the win over Air Force on Saturday, the winner of the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy will be decided on Dec. 9 in Philadelphia as Army takes on Navy.
• The Black Knights are in the running for the trophy for the first time since 2012 when Army defeated Air Force at home, but lost to Navy in Philadelphia.
• Army is looking for its first CIC Trophy since 1996.
WINNING CULTURE
• The Black Knights have had a tremendous stretch of games dating back to late last season.
• Army is now 10-2 over its last 12 games with the two losses coming against then-No. 8 Ohio State and a close defeat at Tulane.
• The Black Knights went from losing seven games by seven points or less in 2015 to winning five of their last six in games decided by a touchdown or less since the start of the 2016 season.

• The Black Knights shut out Air Force for the first time in their series with the Falcons, and it was the first shutout against an FBS team since a win over North Texas (24-0) in 2010.

• Quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw ran for a season-high 265 yards in the win over Air Force and averaged an impressive 11.5 yards per carry.
• It was the second-most by an FBS quarterback this season, behind only Khalil Tate of Arizona, who ran for 327 yards in a game this season.
• The yardage was the seventh-most overall for a single game in 2017.
• The total was the most by an Army player on the road in program history, eclipsing Carlton Jones' 225 at South Florida in 2004.
• Bradshaw is currently 10th in the country in rushing yards per game at 125.8 and has 1,132 total this season, which also ranks 10th in the nation.
• He became the first player to reach 1,000 yards in a season since Larry Dixon in 2014 and the 15th player all-time to reach the milestone. He passed Dixon for ninth all-time in single season rushing at 1,132.
