Day One Results
BOSTON – Through one day of competition, the Army West Point women's swim and dive team is in first place after earning 294 points at the Terrier Invitational on Friday night at the Competition Pool on the campus of Boston U.
Host Boston U. and Boston College round out the top-three with 247 and 207 points, respectively. UMass (172), Vermont (154), New Hampshire (51), Bridgeport (43) and Colgate (45) followed.

ARMY NOTABLES
- The group of Jenna Forrester, Monica Sowinski, Nneka Pilgrim and Bailey Smith edged out Boston U. in the 200 free relay by less than a second for the top spot.
- Smith would later anchor the 400 medley relay with Cecelia Croman, Kara Wineinger and Madison Berg in front. The squad finished in second with a time of 3:48.59.
- Sabrina Mortell took fourth in the 500 free after finishing at 4:59.10. Meaghan McGovern (5:04.09) and Sowinski (5:10.48) also placed inside the top-eight.
- Josephine Marsh hit a new PR in the 200 IM once she placed fourth by posting a time of 2:06.58.
- Serica Hallstead won the one-meter dive, posting a score of 279.1.
WENDER'S WORDS
- "It was a very good first day of competition," head coach Mickey Wender said. "Our women performed extremely well and we qualified 16 of 25 in scoring positions, which helped set us up for later in the night. I was very proud of our winning 200 free relay squad as well as Serica Hallstead, who won the three-meter dive.
