Women's XC to Compete at Patriot League Championships
October 27, 2017 | Women's Cross Country
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's cross country team heads to the Patriot League Championships this Saturday at the Murray H. Goodman Campus in Bethlehem, Pa.
Â
COACH'S CORNER:
Â
"We are pointed in the direction of the championships meets," said head coach Mike Smith. "We have a bit of a chip on our shoulder because we haven't run to our full potential. I think if we run to our full potential we can be very competitive."
Â
"This is the first year since I've been here that we are in the discussion at the top of the meet, and the women will push for a top-level finish. If we exceed our expectations, we could be pretty good. If we run well up front and if we get a lot of support from our four, five, six, we'll be pretty competitive and that's what we are looking for."

ARMY NOTES
UP NEXT:
Army will travel to Buffalo, N.Y., for the Northeast Regional Championships on Nov. 10th.
