Women’s Soccer Tripped Up at Harvard

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Crimson scored an early goal which proved decisive as the Army West Point women's soccer team fell 1-0 here Monday night.
The Crimson tallied the game's lone goal just 10:13 into the contest when Margaret Purce converted on a breakaway opportunity.
Despite the outcome, senior goalie Jordan Cassalia had herself a nice outing, including a brilliant save on a breakaway chance.

KEY MOMENT
- With 58 seconds remaining in the opening half, Cassalia made the save of the game when she stiffed a Harvard forward on a breakaway opportunity. The stop kept it a 1-0 contest and gave the Black Knights some momentum heading into the second 45 minutes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Just as the teams started to settle into the game, Harvard found itself on a breakaway chance. Purce finished off the opportunity into the lower right-hand corner for her first tally of the year.

- The Black Knights now shift their attention to the Army West Point Fall Classic, which begins Friday. Army plays host to UNC Greensboro on Friday at 5 p.m. before welcoming DePaul on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Both games are played at Clinton Field. Live stats and video will be available for each contest.
