Golf Unveils 2016 Fall Schedule

2016 Fall Schedule
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point golf head coach Brian Watts has released the team's 2016 fall schedule, which features five outings. The fall is highlighted by the annual Star Match against service academy rival Navy at the West Point Golf Course and the second annual Bush Cup at the historic Medinah Country Club.
The Black Knights will make their season debut at the Colgate Invitational at the Seven Oaks Country Club. The tournament will be from Sept. 3-4 in Hamilton, N.Y. Army returns to Colgate after winning the invitational two seasons ago.
On the weekend of Sept. 16-18 the Cadets will travel to Urbana-Champaign, Ill., to play in the Fighting Illini Invitational at the Olympia Fields Country Club.
The Army-Navy rivalry intensifies with two days of action at the West Point Golf Course. On Saturday, Oct. 1, Army-Navy four-ball will be played, and on Saturday, Oct. 2, the singles format will be utilized. Army West Point has won the contest the past four seasons.
The Cadets will continue the traditions of the Bush Cup this season at the historic Medinah Country Club then they face-off against Northwestern on Oct. 14. Army had an epic comeback against Yale in the inaugural Bush Cup to tie the Bulldogs 6-6.
The Black Knights cap off the fall in El Paso, Texas, for the second-straight season at the Butterfield Trail Course for the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational from October 28-30.
The spring portion of the 2016-17 schedule will be released later this year.
