Women's Lacrosse Falls on the Road at BU

BOSTON – The Army West Point women's lacrosse team fell to a 14-3 defeat at Boston University on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field.
Army slips to 5-11 overall and 0-8 in the Patriot League, while Boston University improves to 9-7 and 6-3.
Freshman Izzy McMahon netted a pair of goals and junior Erin Jollota scored once. Freshman Kayla Rowley made six saves in the opening half before Delanie Weliver stopped three shots in the second half in her collegiate debut.
Mallory Collins paces the Terriers with five goals, while Remy Nolan tallied three.
Boston University scored the first three goals to begin the contest before McMahon put Army on the board with 21:59 remaining in the first half.
The Terriers closed out the period with five unanswered goals to boost their advantage to 8-1 at the end of one.
Boston University increased its scoring run to 8-0, with three goals early in the second half, and McMahon answered with her second goal at the 16:23 mark of the period. Jollota tacked on the last goal of the game with 1:42 until the final whistle.
Army closes out its inaugural varsity season with a trip to Baltimore, Md., to face Loyola on Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m.
