Men’s Tennis Concludes Home Slate with Two Matches

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis will wrap up its 2016 spring home schedule with a pair of Patriot League matches this weekend. The first comes on Friday, April 15, against Lehigh at 2 p.m. Boston University then comes to the Academy on Sunday, April 17, for a 12 p.m. match. Both matches will be played outside on Malek Courts.
The Black Knights will honor eight seniors for their contributions to the program before Sunday's match. Those eight are team captain Caison Best, Ben Davies, Joey Hatala, Sam Jang-Milsten, Austin McCasin, Harrison McCormick, David Proctor, and Ron Verano.

LAST TIME OUT
Army split a pair of nonconference matches last Thursday. The Cadets shutout Hartford 4-0 before falling to local rival Marist 4-3. The loss ended a season-high eight match winning streak. The Black Knights are currently 13-7 and won their only two league matches.
SCOUTING LEHIGH
The Mountain Hawks boast a 12-3 record and are 3-1 in the Patriot League. They have won their last two matches by scores of 4-3 against Colgate and Bucknell after losing to Temple (6-1) and Navy (4-3).
SCOUTING BOSTON UNIVERSITY
The Terriers won each of their first two league contests but sit at 7-9 this spring. They have not played since March 27, a 4-3 win over Colgate, due to cancellations.
SERIES HISTORY
The Cadets topped each of these two teams last season, beating Boston U 6-1 and then Lehigh 5-2. In the all-time series, Army leads Lehigh 44-3 and is 7-2 versus the Terriers.
NEXT UP: Saturday, April 23 at Navy – Star Match
Army's regular season concludes with the annual Star Match against Navy. The Black Knights won the star last year (4-0) but then conceded the Patriot League Championship to the Midshipmen (4-1).
