IRVINE, Calif. – The Army West Point men's track and field team placed second among the five-team field at the annual UC Irvine Spring Break Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
"I thought our team did a nice job of competing today," said Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Mike Smith. "We worked hard all week, had perfect weather and made some nice progress in a lot of areas."
Trevor Touchton won one of the Black Knights' two individual titles in one of the team's deepest events in the 800m run, crossing the finish line at 1:51.45. Mitch Dutton joined Touchton in the top-five in fourth, while Jack Monday placed seventh and Alex Combs finished eighth.
