WEST PONT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's tennis player Carolyn Pitman has been awarded with AAA Athlete of the Week for the first time this season. The senior went 2-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles this past weekend en route to earning Patriot League Player of the Week honors.

In her first weekend of playing in multiple singles matches, the senior defeated Fordham's previously unbeaten Estelle Wong, 6-0, 6-3 before topping Nathalie Habegger of NJIT, 6-2, 6-1. Pitman now has 66 career singles wins, one shy of entering the top 10 in school history and owns a 3-1 record in 2016.
Pitman moved to 10-0 on the season in doubles, pairing with Kirby Einck for two victories and Nancy Porter for the other. The West Chester, Ohio, native now sits in a tie for second all-time with Megan Noble with 97 career doubles wins. Pitman boasts a 97-28 all-time record in doubles and a 64-11 record in the spring.
The Black Knights posted a perfect 3-0 record on the weekend to improve to 10-3 this spring. They welcome Quinnipiac, Siena, and Rhode Island this weekend.
