Men's Swim and Dive Earns Wins at Terrier Invite

BOSTON, MASS. - The Army West Point men's swimming and diving team completed day one of the three-day Terrier Invite hosted by Boston University on Friday. The Black Knights sit in second place with 308 points heading into the second day.
COACHES CORNER
"It was a very solid first day performance for both of our teams," remarked head coach Mickey Wender. "I feel very good about where we are at right now. We had a great meet against Boston College on the men's side today."
"I think our plebes are performing well and learning a lot. Our senior leadership was really good throughout the day and I think the best is yet to come."
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
The Black Knights turned in a strong performance, claiming first in the 400 medley relay with a mark of 3:49.97. The foursome of Josh Sembrano, Ty Dang, Kevin Doo and Evin Rude claimed first by almost 1.5 seconds over the second-place Army contingent of Matt McPheters, Joe Daniels, Jason Rodriguez and Devin McCall.
In the 500 freestyle, Tom Ottman took first place in 4:27.20.
The 200 free relay team of Devin McCall, Andrew Zhugayevich, Nathan Hein and Evin Rude claimed third place in 1:22.88.
Day two of the Terrier Invite will begin at 10:00 a.m.
